Frequently Asked Questions
If you’ve never visited a professional Massage Therapist before, you’re bound to have lots of questions or concerns. Below, you’ll find a list of several frequently asked questions from my patients. Connect with me today for more information.
Why should you have a massage?
Massage is a complementary therapy and can ally with the standard medical treatment for many medical conditions. Traditional Massage treatments have existed a long time before Western medical treatment. Regular Massage can provide improved blood circulation, enhanced flexibility, pain relief, rehabilitate sports injuries, reduce stress, increase relaxation, help reduce anxiety and depression, provide relief from stiffness, numbness, constipation, and other common health problems. Frequent massage can also provide stimulation of the lymphatic system and enhance the overall well being.
Massage therapy has few serious risks if it is used appropriately and provided by a trained massage professional.
What can I expect from Pari’s first massage treatment?
Pari will come to your home and will bring massage oil, music, etc. and a consultation form. Depending on what massage you choose she can also bring Hot Stone, a mobile massage table or massage you on the floor or on your bed, whatever is more comfortable for you. Prior to the first treatment Pari will need ca. 15-60 minutes time to consult on your medical history and talk to you about your preferences for the treatment to meet your needs. Therefore Pari is charging for her first treatment from £60 as the massage and consultation will be longer than 1 hour long. Thereafter it will be from £50.
How long should I have a massage?
Massage treatments can last between 30 mins or up to 4 hours long, depending on your condition and what you would like to achieve from the treatment. To benefit properly from the massage the recommendation is that it should last at least one hour to allow the body to warm up through blood circulation while reducing toxins in your body, and helping to improve the overall well being.
How do I prepare myself prior to the massage?
Please provide 2-4 large and 2 small hand towels for the massage. Eat light meal ca. 1-2 hours before the massage and drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated, especially if you know that you will have cupping therapy.
How often should I have a massage?
Depending on your condition and what you‘d like to achieve. Generally if you have pain you should have a regular course of massage treatment, i.e. every week, until the pain subsides. To prevent recurrence of pain you can decide to have a massage at reduced intervals i.e. once every fortnight or month.
What happens during and after the massage treatment?
The possible during or after effects could be:
-Tiredness/headache/dizziness (due circulation)
-Increase urination (due the body releasing toxin)
-Increased pain and soreness- especially at the surface of any areas worked with deep techniques- due to the release of toxins and response of nerve endings (last no more than 1-3 days)
-'Healing Crisis'- a temporary worsening of the symptoms of medical conditions- this is normal part of the holistic healing process
Right after the massage Pari will ask you about your experience and document what she has found during the treatment. The feedback helps to establish a better understanding of clients' needs and aim to track the treatment to set a goal in enhancing the overall positive well-being and outcome for whatever condition you may have.
What is the after Massage recommendation following 12-24 hours?
Try to relax as much as possible (as the body can only be recharged if it rests)
Avoid strenuous exercise
Drink plenty of water
Eat lightly and avoid alcohol/ caffeine/ cigarettes (so that the body can use the energy to heal and not to digest or get rid of more toxins from the body)
Keep treated area warm (to avoid muscle cramps)
After aromatherapy if possible leave the oil to penetrate the skin for more beneficial effects and avoid pain killers
After Hot Stones avoid spicy food
For 4-6 hours post
cupping
, avoid exposure to:
- Caffeine, alcohol, sugary foods and drinks, dairy, and processed meats. These foods slow down your body's ability to process the treatment.
- Hot showers, saunas, hot tubs and strong air conditioning. ...
- Intense exercise.
- Cold and windy conditions.
The massage can help you only to a certain degree, to maintain a regular well being the recommendation is to help yourself by doing certain exercises and stretches that focus on your problematic area (Pari will discuss with you about that), being aware of your posture, eating and drinking well. All of these recommendations enhance the positive outcome of massage and elongate the overall well being.

It can be applied to Deep Tissue Massage or superficial for its relaxing benefit.

It uses the basic Swedish massage with additionall sports massage techniques such as soft tissue release, deep tissue massage, trigger points treatment, METs, frictiontreatments etc.
Regular sessions will increase joint mobility, flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during moderate exercise.

This treatment is very efficient in treating the following common ailments - cellulites, depression, insomnia, headache, stress, or pregnancy sickness and so on, just to mention a few.

Pari uses this massage in combination with Sports and Thai massage for the ultimate experience and overall well being.

Pregnancy (Pre and Postnatal) Massage
This type is especially designed for mothers to be, in labour or after giving birth.
This massage is recommended to be performed after the first trimester, 6 weeks after giving birth.
Pari herself had a massage 4 days after delivery of her first child which she felt helped to reduce the recovery time. Mothers to be should be mindful that giving birth has sometimes been compared to running a marathon, it's a very powerful energy sapping experience and your body will feel very stiff after this event.
A postnatal massage can increase circulation, help improve digestion, reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, help reduce swelling, alleviate the stress on weight-bearing joints such as the knees, which are impacted by the extra weight of a growing baby, and improve labour outcomes and newborn health.

I have learned traditional Thai massage from my Mum at a very young age, holistic massage has been in my family history for generations.
In 2004 I gained a qualification for Thai traditional Massage. I love to learn and am eager to develop new ways to help people feel better which I am very proud and privileged to do. Along the way I've mastered different massage styles from traditional yoga-like Thai Massage to Sports Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Swedish, relaxing Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Pre-and Postnatal Massage, and Dry Cupping.
I tailor the massage to each individuals needs and utilise my massage as a unique way of healing the whole body, mind and soul!
I have always been passionate about massage practice and bodies natural healing mechanism through manual manipulation of body tissue. By using natural ingredients such as Essential Oils or Hot Stones one can enhance the benefit and activate the natural deeper healing process.
(As the body, mind and soul are connected, I am a true believer of the power of natural self-healing)
In the past I have worked with my mum and my cousins, each of them run a successful business and I also worked part time for myself while studying in Germany. In the UK I've worked in a local massage facility in Barnet (London), I also operate my own mobile massage business with many satisfied new and repeat clients.
I hold qualification in the above mentioned massages. I am fully insured and member of the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists). I am happy to travel to massage you in the comfort of your own home.

Results and Testimonials
Before and after treatment
It’s rare to find someone who just seems to immediately understand how your lifestyle is interlinked with back problems and can give a pleasurable massage, make you feel refreshed and help you think about how to prevent future problems. Pari is an excellent find and uses lots of different massage approaches depending on your need. A highly individualised and effective massage, well recommended.
I have suffered with shoulder and pack pain for some time, Pari is the first masseuse I felt knows exactly what she is doing. She is very professional and through, made me feel at ease and most importantly is making my back feel better. She is a highly skilled and lovely with it, I could not recommend her more.
